Brace Yourself for Brass: The Honking Horns Collection follows on from the great success of the original Brace Yourself for Brass books. The original concept is still there – music written in the low register that provides a technical challenge – but these new tunes place the performer in the midst of a red hot horn section. Each book comes with a ‘1st’ part where you play the melodies and also a ‘2nd’ part that gives chance to play harmony lines as well as some opportunities to improvise. Backing tracks are provided featuring seasoned session musicians Graeme Flowers and Barnaby Dickinson.
